The Real B. S. of the F. C.

Balanced Solutions(Bernie Sanders) of the Fiscal Crypt(or FulCrum):

Anyone who believes that we have a spending problem not a revenue problem is unqualified to make decisions that will help the economy.  That is my summary, not that he* might not agree.
Spending as a percent of GDP is the lowest in 60 years and the tax rates are the lowest in living memory.**

** Bernie Sanders (12-7-12) Need to update.
**I forget how many years that is.
(i.e. bu dump ump = Thom Hartmann, Norman Goldman***, and Randi Rhodes.)
*** Ctrl F "sound" (no dump but wedge between Thom and Randi on AM1090.)

Over and Under Planes.

Mike Malloy
Rachel Maddow
Ed Schultz.

[Meanwhile the real c. c.  Boehner blames the President for congresses own fiscal cliff march. Bush Tax cuts had expiration date.  The Republican congress refused to extend middle class tax cuts, and led country to credit downgrade and budget sequester deal over raising debt limit.  The President said he would not play those games.  The House is not likely to pass a deal that will pass the Senate and Presidential veto.]

Walking the Plank[!]

A caller to a talk show expressed well my sentiment on the death penalty.
Paraphrased: I will support the death penalty when the first corporation is executed in Texas. Well, being a Jolly Roger, (i.e. No Will Rogers) I might not go that far mattie.(ar R something privatization.)

[!]= sarcasm/irony punctuation (See lede 'r ship)

The real leadership is not in a party or a position but in ideas. My pun is purely about the platform over the process, not to mention parties. But in particular a few planks that Bernie Sanders has suggested in the form of: Six Demands to Make of Wall Street.
If Republicans want to walk the talk, of Where are the Jobs?* Then vote on every last one of these, as well as the American Jobs Act, and see who will be left on the ship of fools.

[Speaking of R's Bruce Bartlett anyone? (or A B Sea?)

* The American Jobs Act.

Speaking of three R's.

Seven Lies.(2.5 minutes)

Risky Business

Risking progress?
Update: "the filibuster"
The other guy?
If Democrats can manage any improvements on this plan, go for it. But not at the risk of doing nothing. Even breaking it up for the sake of getting what should not be bargaining chips*, for the sake of "the debt" or sticking to principles or campaign promises, may have adverse impacts to the econonomy, and with it being even more of an up hill, problematic legislature, getting more done may not be on the table. Some have argued for a line item veto...for the president. Not to revive that arguement, but imagine[**] the impact on the political calculus if congress had a line item veto after all the work of crafting legislation, be it this plan or another.

*trading doing the right thing for allowing the wrong thing
[post-post-google tangent hmmm?]
[** post post realization that this sentence is a paradox of sorts; Congress is bi-cameral and does have line item vetos, it just has to go back to the other house and branch. I guess my point rests on one body having a line item veto or final say on another branch's work.]

4M 2 $M

4 um to buck 'em
or
4 'em to money media?
I "heart" BS? Bernie Sanders?*
Not exactly a filibuster.
But moving the goal posts?
[I am truly split between being encouraged by the President, the Democratic Caucus and actually getting the right thing done. I hope it is more than just a lesson plan for sacrifice. Basically Bernie Sanders is sorting out what is wrong and what can be improved in the so-called compromise, which I hope is not the lamb.]
*thanks to Thom Hartmann** [Update: 12-13-10 Risky Business]
[less benefits to rich, more investment in country infrastucture and safety net]
